Gray Nicolls Scoop 50th Anniversary Bat (Extra Special) Bat-SH

This summer, Gray-Nicolls is paying homage to the 50th Anniversary of the Scoop.

With Gray-Nicolls revolutionising cricket bat making in the 1970s, this 2024-25 model has been created to re-design the original bat for modern day performance.  

Handcrafted out of our Melbourne Bat Mill, the Extra Special bat is a fantastic option for players looking for a unique edge on their competition, or those die-hard collectors who have loved the Scoop and its 50 year tradition. 

This bat has been created with all of Gray-Nicolls' modern bat making techniques, with the bat having the iconic perimeter weighted scoop out of the back of the bat. 

This Scoop bat features a modern-day scoop profile with a POWERCURVE face and large edges. 

It is typically crafted in weight ranged between 2.8 - 2.10 and uses Superior Grade 2 English Willow.

We will fully prepare the bat which includes-

• 3 light oil coat
• 15000 + 3000 knocks using variable machine speed.
